About
Mehdi Nazeri is an Iranian social documentary photographer, born in Bandar Abbas and based in Dubai.
Born in Bandar Abbas in 1988 and now based in Dubai, I began working with photography in 2012 as a self-taught, experimental photographer. My early work moved between photomontage and documentary photography.
Most of my subjects are close to home: children, women, families, work, illness, and the everyday spaces that shape life in Iran. I also make portraits, write about photography, and teach.
Alongside the pictures, I have written two books, developed an Android learning tool, and taken part in exhibitions, associations, and photography education.
